publisher. What we're looking for: in a word, LITERATURE.
English only for now. Primarily book-length fiction. Novels.
Collections of short stories. Poetry perhaps. Reminiscences.
Collections of commentary or essays. Humor. Any point of view,
including religion, humbly and thoughtfully conveyed. Overcoming
disabilities. Parenting. Biographies. Natural history.
Historical. Saga and adventure. Sociology. Travel and
geography. Thriller and espionage. Juvenile fiction and
non-fiction. Detective. Psychology, health, personal growth.
Cross-genre. Mainstream, whatever that is.
We are ambivalent about science fiction, unless Ray Bradbury is available. What we're not looking for: Horror. Cheap romance. Diatribes on politics. Diatribes on anything else. Thousand-page rambles. Sports, or cooking and crafts, although some interesting novels have been composed around recipes and hobbies, so ask anyway. Songs. Issues of the indignant. Pseudo-poetry - stuff that no one can understand. Plays and scripts, because we're looking for things to read, not watch. Technical. Business. Men's studies. Women's studies. Macho. Sexual orientation. Cult. Paranoia. Pornography. Gratuitous anything. New Age, whatever that is - (no Celestine Prophecy stuff). If you’re still in doubt, contact us anyway. We might not have thought of your genre, or maybe we could be persuaded to accept something we thought we would not. The best way to see what we want is to see what we publish. Or request a list of what, in our opinion, are good books from the past and present. |
