RELIGION

The thoughts offered here do not presume to represent the doctrine or teaching of any particular church. You are not obliged to agree, but I offer what I have learned over the years, and I think I have dispensed with most of the chaff that still blows around and obscures what matters. The conclusions I’ve come to are so generously affirmed by the greatest, humblest, most cogent thinkers of the distant and recent past that the uninformed indignation of a few modern self-serving protesters does not impress me.

It is my intention to be very brief with each subject. This is not a scholarly treatment of each. It may stimulate someone to dig deeper. It may encourage someone to check references and verify my assertions. Or it may leave one satisfied with the way the subject stands here. All are acceptable.

You may argue with anything I've stated. Look it up and refute me. Change my mind if you can. There is, however, an interdependence between all of my thoughts and findings on all of these subjects: an interdependence based on the love of God and on the two great commandments.
