If you know, or believe, that you have had an encounter with a panther in the eastern regions of Maine, (generally in Piscataquis, Penobscot, Aroostook, Hancock, or Washington Counties), please use the accompanying survey to let us know what you witnessed. If you have seen one elsewhere in New England or eastern Canada, we are also interested in that information anecdotally, (feel free to participate), but are not equipped to tabulate data over such a wide area.

If you know someone else who has had a sighting, please tell us, or ask the person to contact us so we can get a personal account.

The survey asks for information about the sighting plus a few things about yourself. Your personal information will be kept confidential unless we ask your permission to use it publicly. Feel free to skip anything that doesn't pertain to your experience or which you do not wish to answer.

If you prefer, you can call directly and ask for David Woodbury. The number to call is 207.794.0268.

Thanks!
